Once I had it running at 720p, the high-res textures themselves don’t seem to have had any adverse effect on performance. I’ll fiddle with some settings but I have to knock it down to 540p. I’ve pushed it to 720p but the sound is a bit choppy. I can only assume that it’s been worked on more than the others due to its popularity. I was a little surprised at that because I’d have thought it would be more demanding. The Ocarina of Time is by far the most playable N64 game on this device. That’s done wonders for The Ocarina of Time on my 55" television.Ĭonsidering the N64 emulator sometimes struggles to run, I am curious as to how good it would run with the HiRes textures, please let us know. Thank you, The combination of those two hints worked a treat (although I discovered that “plus” in the folder name should be all lower-case).

The system folder is actually the BIOS folder AFAIK so they should go into there are roms for those systems, here, too, if I do upload my final product, I will probably have only N64 in one zip, and all the other stuff in separate zips, if I even upload them, at all, since they can be found elsewhere. So it seems it should be THE LEGEND OF ZELDA_HIRESTEXTURES.htc

Also, since ED64 can emulate some other systems, such as NES, and, (with an alternate OS, which is also in this file) some others, like gameboy, game gear, etc. I'll consider uploading the result, if anyone is interested. files, that most modern renamers don't recognize, any more, since they are unnecessary. I'm working on converting all the byteswapped roms to Big Endian, and deleting all duplicates, as well as cleaning up the general file system, I'm guessing it will be less than half the size, and, contain roms that are in the most popular format for renamers, in fact, I will be renaming the files, as well, and, possibly deleting any (b) (o) etc. As big of a pain as it will be, it might be best to use some kind of multiple file downloader to only download the files you need from this 100+ GB file, There are a ton of duplicates, and stuff you may not want, in fact, the everdrive 2020 drive structure is duplicated, in full, in a zip file that is over 10GB, so, you may want to get just that zip and skip most everything else, here.
